Do I need to pay a booking deposit? What is the cancellation policy?
We ask for a booking deposit of 20 %. In our reservation confirmation you will find all necessary bank details for the bank transfer.
For cancellations or modifications which are made up to 30 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled up to one day before arrival,
50 % of the total price of the reservation (excluding the final cleaning fee) will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show,
90 % of the toal price of the reservation (excluding the final cleaning fee) will be charged.
We recommend to take out a travel insurance.
Do I need to pay a security deposit on arrival?
We reserve the right to ask for a security deposit.
What are the General terms and conditions (GTC) and the house rules?
With the booking of our holiday apartment and the receipt of our reservation confirmation, an vacation rental agreement is concluded. Oral agreements e.g. on the phone are also legally binding. With the booking, the guest accepts our house rules (DOWNLOAD) as well as the swimming rules (DOWNLOAD) of our indoor pool.
What is the check-in /check-out time? How do I get to the Allgäu Apartment?
Our apartments are ready for check-in at 4 pm on the day of arrival.
On the day of departure, check-out should be made by 10 am. If you leave early in the morning, payment will be made on the eve of your
departure and you may leave the key inside and just close the door.
For guests who arrive or leave via the Allgäu Airport on Memmingen train station, we offer a free shuttle service which has to be agreed upon.
A late check-out is possible subject to availability. In either case we offer you to store your luggage until your final departure.
How is the key handed over?
It is important for us to personally welcome our guests, to show and explain the apartment to them, giving all necessary information. Since we
live in the same house, the handover of the key is very easy. We kindly ask you to inform us about your planned time of arrival. On our reservation confirmation you wil find our contact details.
How and when does payment take place?
On arrival or on the eve of your departure, in cash or by credit card.
Is there a minimum stay?
We rent our apartments with a minimum stay of at least 3 nights. From June to August we prefer reservations of 5 nights or more.
Is there a parking space available?
We provide one or two free parking spaces for each apartment.
What languages are spoken in the Allgäu Apartment?
We also speak English and French.
I already arrive by plane early in the morning. Can I possibly check-in earlier and are there any extra costs?
Depending on availability, it is possible to have an early check-in which will be free of charge for you.
Otherwise, you may leave your luggage in the apartment and we will drive you to Memmingen city centre or to the train station so that you can make the most of your day until our regular check-in at 4 pm.
Is smoking allowed in the apartment?
No. Our apartments are rented as non-smoking apartments. In case of violation, the guest must pay for the cost of a professional cleaning of 250 €.
For each apartment we have provided an ashtray outside.
Are pets allowed in the Allgäu Apartment?
No. We rent allergy-friendly apartments and therefore we cannot allow pets.
The Allgäu Apartment is located very close to the Allgäu Airport (2 km). What about the aircraft noise?
The airplanes can hardly be heard. So far, we have never had any negative comments from our guests. On the contrary, we live in a very quiet place and in the morning you may even hear the birds chirping.
Do the apartments have air conditioning or a ventilation system?
No. We kindly ask you to ventilate the apartment regularly, especially after taking a shower to reduce humidity. During wintertime open the windows widely for a short time and then keep them closed.
Is the final cleaning fee aldready included?
No. For our Premium Apartment, the cleaning fee is 70 € and for our Executive und Komfort Apartment it is 45 € each. We would appreciate if you left the apartment in a proper way putting your dishes in the dishwasher.
Is there an internet access available?
We offer free Wi-Fi for all our apartments. The access data are available in the apartment.
Do I have to pay a visitor's tax?
No.
Are bed linen and towels available?
Yes. Furthermore, all our 4-star apartments are fully equipped (toilet paper, dish liquid, sponge, dishwasher tabs, spices and coffee beans for our bean-to-cup coffee machine) - for more details see the descriptions of each apartment.
Is a baby travel cot available?
We may provide you with a baby travel cot for a one-time fee of 10 €. In addition, depending on availablility, we offer free of charge a pushchair,
high chair, a baby changing table and some toys.
Is there a bread delivery service?
Yes. Please let us know your wishes.
Where is the nearest supermarket?
About 800 m away, you will find the Feneberg supermarket, open from Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm. We have also prepared for you an outline map of the surrounding supermarkets and bakeries.
Is there a restaurant nearby?
The family-run restaurant with beer garden, Gasthaus Schlößle, about 150 m away, offers regional dishes at fair prices.
Is there a bus stop to go to Memmingen?

Is there a cheap way to travel by train?
Yes, by using the "Bayernticket". We made a video that explains the features of this ticket and shows how to buy this ticket at the ticket vending machine at Memmingen train station.
What interesting sights can be visited within a maximum of an hour's drive?
We have created for you on our website an activity list which is also explained in a video.
In addition to the well-known highlights such as Munich, Legoland, Lake Constance, Neuschwanstein Castle and Oberstdorf, we regularly recommend our favorite places in separate videos: Lake Hopfen near Füssen and the mountain fun park Alpsee-Bergwelt in Immenstadt. We have also prepared a great variety of flyers in the apartment for you.
Where are the nearest skiing resorts?
Depending on the individual skiing skills, everybody finds his or her ideal skiing resort:
Alpspitze/Nesselwang: 55 km away (also night-skiing)
Oberjoch: 68 km away
Oberstdorf: Nebelhorn/Fellhorn: about 80 km away
Are the Memmingen train station and the city centre in walking distance?
Memmingen train station is about 2 km away and the market square another 500 metres.
What about the best shopping areas in Memmingen?
The pedestrian zone in Kramerstrasse offers many nice shops, and you will find also nice clothing shops in Maximilianstrasse. The department store Karstadt also offers a huge variety in cloting, bags, shoes and much more.
Is the indoor pool open all year long?
No. Our indoor pool is open from mid-May until October.
How can we tell others about our experiences in the Allgäu Apartment, if we enjoyed our stay?

Is there a washing machine available in the apartment?
Each of our apartments is equipped with a washing machine and a dryer. We also provide you with washing powder.
Is there a cleaning service available for a stay of more than two weeks?
We offer a free weekly cleaning service with a weekly change of towels and every two weeks a change of linen.
Are bicycles available?
We may provide you with free bikes depending on availability.
Are there any activities and outdoor vehicles for children to play around?
We offer you table tennis, a tricycle, kids tractor with trailer, a kettcar and scooters.
Do the apartments offer any games, books or DVDs?
Each apartment is equipped with board games, Allgäu thriller books in the German language written by two famous Memmingen authors, and a varied DVD collection.
